TOM SCHUMACHER
Head Storyteller and Purveyor of USDA Prime Advertising & Design Services
SO, WHAT’S MY STORY?
Everyone’s got one and for me, it’s also what I do. I’ve spent the last 33 years knee-deep in the creative world. Graphic Designer, Production Artist, Art Director, Brand Strategist, Creative Director, Web Designer. I’ve worn all the hats, but the one that fits me best is Storyteller.
The common thread that runs through my career experiences is that they were all different ways to help my clients tell their story. In the end, that’s what truly matters.
Each client is unique and whether it’s a new business or one that’s been in a family for generations, each has a story that can win new customers, keep old ones coming back and create new opportunities.
WHY AM I THE ONE TO HELP YOU TELL YOUR STORY?
I grew up in a family business, saw what works and what doesn’t and have spent my career preparing to become the storyteller I am today.
My work experience runs the gamut from branding, graphic design and print production, advertising campaign creation and new business pitches to UX/UI and front-end web design. My specialty is conceptual creative that’s applicable across any media for industries including: telecom, technology, automotive, pharma and packaged goods.
I’ve also been a small business owner and start-up collaborator — learning the hard way what it takes for a business to succeed. Skills like brainstorming and vision, along with persistence and determination and even how to use Microsoft Excel(!). I believe that through it all these experiences have made me better able to help others tell their own particular story.
